How to fix Left 4 dead always crashes issue?

While i playing the left 4 dead game after 5 to 20 minutes, it always crashes and return back to Windows. I try to find Left 4 Dead patch file to fix it, but failed, Left 4 dead does not release any patch file for it.

To fix Left 4 Dead crashes issue, we need to configure the following two video settings

  1. Disable the Multicore rendering setting
  2. Change the Display mode to Windowed (No Border)

After configure the above video settings, Left 4 Dead never crash and return back to Windows anymore. At least it’s work for me. Killing time ~

  2. I just ran Left 4 Dead’s display mode at “Windowed (No Border)”; after that I haven’t experienced any more crashes.

  3. My game has been crashing for so long, it just wasn’t worth to have the game installed anymore. That’s been some years ago. I tried everything, and I mean… Everything, to find a solution, but none was provided. But today, I thought to myself to at least give it one last try, and see if I were able to find someway I could fix this ongoing issue.. I’ve been wanting to play for so many years now that it’s not even funny. So I went online and started looking for answers… My quest was simple. “Left 4 Dead keeps crashing”. Time to goolge that shit. Front page, top. Found it. Time to see if it works. So I try and find the Multicore rendering setting. Turns out it’s in the Advanced Settings menu. Now let’s turn this mf off. There.. I try tampering with the setting on how I wan’t it, Windowed, fullscreen… Today, after so many years without the ability to play, I can finally say. L4D2… Welcome back to my lib’ old buddy.. (Wether the screen is set to windowed or full, doesn’t matter at all)
